Vanderbilt Law School is coming to London!
Throughout October thirteen of the top US law schools are going to be touring Europe to showcase their wares to potential LLM students. As part of this admissions and applications tour, Vanderbilt Law School is hosting an information session on Wednesday 10th October from 6-8pm to show interested parties the LLM opportunities available at this law school. Details of the LLM scholarships on offer at Vanderbilt Law School, which is based in Nashville, Tennessee, will also be provided at this session.
In today’s ever competitive legal workplace, having a legal training in both Europe and the United States is most advantageous and guaranteed to give you the edge over other postgraduate law students. Before earning his LL.M. at Vanderbilt, Tom Hodge studied his LLM at Vanderbilt Law School after completing his initial law degree at King’s College, London. Currently working as a trainee solicitor at Jones Day in London, Tom is also a member of the New York Bar, having prepared to sit for the exam in Nashville.
Tom says, “Being a member of the New York Bar is extremely useful as the two most important jurisdictions in the world for corporate law are England and Wales, and New York. At Jones Day, we frequently deal with matters that involve the laws of both jurisdictions, so being educated in US law certainly helps me to appreciate the full scope of the firm's work in any given matter.”
This event – which includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres – is being held at The Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1P on Wednesday 10th October from 6-8pm
